Sectors are a collection of procedurally generated star systems. The game begins in Sector 0. The player will travel to new sectors to outrun the void. During the playtest, players cannot travel past Sector 2.

- Update 1.rc2: Introduced.
- Update 2.rc1: Increased sector limit to 5.
- DEMO2B: Decreased sector limit to 2.
