Hyperspace appears to be an alternate dimension. Utilizing an FTL Drive, Ships can enter through hyperspace to travel quickly between systems. Hyperspace does not allow a ship to travel through other systems, so the player must plan a route around any systems that might be in the way of a plotted jump.

Players can collect data on the void by enabling Hyperspace Sensors during FTL Jumps.
