Crew Members perform all tasks assigned by the player, including building, moving cargo, and changing fuel, oxygen, and deuterium containers. Some equipment requires a crew member to actively produce output.

The crew has the same survival requirements as civilians, except for being able to wear spacesuits in the absence of an oxygen atmosphere.

There is another type of crew member, the Scientist. They only operate Science Stations.
