Similar to how Loaders can unload fluids from a pipe system into a canister (e.g., Water, Metreon Gas, etc.) or load the contents of canisters into a pipe system, Generators can unload energy from the power grid into the transportable Energy Cells or load Energy Cells into the power grid.
Generators, are normally found only in derelict ships, recovered via Logistics Drones; they are not sold by Trading Posts and cannot be made available for purchase by editing the save file. It is possible to add them to a delivery in progress, but once onboard, the generator cannot be sold.
