Research

Research is a fundamental part of The Last Starship. This gives players the ability to craft objects in mainly Assembly Tables with blueprints being researched. It also may give buffs to certain objects.

Points

There are two types of points, Research Points (RP) and Computation Points (CP). Research Points are accumulated through the Science Station whereas Computation Points are generated by Supercomputers.

Fluid Logistics

Researches blueprints for Tanks.

• Level 1: Unlocks schematic for Small Tank (Cost 1 RP)
• Level 2: Unlocks schematic for Medium Tank (Cost 1 RP)
• Level 3: Unlocks schematic for Huge Tank (Cost 2 RP)

Energy Transmission

Required for Phase 3 onwards of the Stargate Project.

• Level 1: Unlocks schematic for Energy Transmitter and Receiver (Cost 1 RP)

Metallurgy

Increases the output of Smelters.

• Level 1: Smelters produce 20% more output (Cost 1 RP)
• Level 2: Smelters produce 40% more output (Cost 3 RP)

Factory Automation

Introduces Tracks and Robot Arms.

• Level 1: Unlocks schematic for Track and Robot Arm (Cost 1 RP + 1 CP)

Compact Automation

Sub-branch of Factory Automation.

• Level 1: Unlocks schematic for Short Robot Arm (Cost 2 RP + 2 CP)

Smart Automation

Sub-branch of Factory Automation.

• Level 1: Unlocks schematic for Smart Robot Arm (Cost 4 RP + 4 CP)
